Try This. . . Dorchester would like to invite you to their first Annual General Meeting on Thursday 30 November (5-6pm) in the Council Chamber at the Corn Exchange. So, whether you are keen to attend, run a session, or just want to know more, do come along to find out what has been happening and how you might get involved with the next Try This in 2018.
The initiative, set up in 2013, offers local residents the opportunity to participate in free workshops and taster sessions which are led by members of the community and groups from the area.
Emma Scott, Community Development Worker at Dorchester Town Council, said she was extremely proud to be involved in Try This . . . Dorchester. “It reflects grass root community spirit at its best. The project runs at a minimal cost and is really inclusive – people of all ages and with all sorts of interests get involved – and in some cases go on to start new hobbies or even careers.”
Whilst the event officially starts at 5pm, you are invited to join the group from 4.30pm for tea, cake and networking. There is no need to reserve a place and the meeting is open to all residents of Dorchester as well as the surrounding villages.
If you can’t make it but would like more information or are interested in joining the committee please contact us by emailing: or call 01305 819463.
