“Making beautiful things isn’t just my business, it’s my passion” Nicky Massey – Owner and Creative Director
Having her first sewing machine aged nine, Nicky found her love and talent of sewing through creating outfits for her toys, the very first item being a pair of dungarees for one of her teddy bears. Growing up, Nicky made her own clothing which led to her working in a bridal shop after leaving school making and altering wedding dresses.
After spending several years making a variety of high-quality bags, 21 months ago Nicky Massey created Margo and Mya, turning her focus to her real passion, making beautiful homes for other people by creating fantastic soft furnishings.
Now the premises will give the opportunity to expand their current offering with impressive home accessories and furnishings along with exhibitions from local artists. As well as bespoke made to measure soft furnishings, Margo and Mya will stock fabulous pre-made items from various designers such as Clarke and Clarke and Scion Fabrics and Wallpapers.
At the launch, there will also be an opportunity to take a behind the scenes look at the new sewing room. Not only is this Nicky and the team’s workshop but will also be home to Margo and Mya’s sewing school where they will be running classes for those wanting to learn or improve their skills.
Margo and Mya are offering 10% off all purchases on the day of the launch. To find out more visit Margo and Mya.
