National Charity FCN Launches Resilience Checklist for Farmers and Farm Businesses
The Farming Community Network (FCN) has introduced the Greenzone Checklist, a valuable resource designed to enhance both business and personal resilience for farmers and farm businesses. This checklist assists in identifying strengths and areas where additional information or support may be beneficial.
The Greenzone Checklist is accessible through FCN’s FarmWell website. It covers a wide array of topics related to business, health, forward-planning, and community connections. Farmers can easily download or print the checklist to examine which areas are already addressed and where further investigation may be beneficial.
The checklist addresses essential components such as partnership agreements, business objectives, work-life balance, diet and exercise, succession planning, and links with local communities. For each item on the checklist, the FarmWell website provides a wealth of resources and information, empowering farmers to explore their options effectively.
Dr. Jude McCann, CEO of FCN, emphasizes that the Greenzone Checklist helps farmers assess what’s going well on their farms and identifies areas for further exploration. It is part of FCN’s proactive efforts to support farmers’ health, wellbeing, and business resilience.
