Even Keel Solutions, a leading insolvency practice specialising in business recovery and restructuring, is pleased to announce Andrew Rumsey’s appointment as Director, effective immediately.
Andrew Rumsey has bought into the business and will, in due course, take on the role of Managing Director, succeeding Dorothy Brown, who is planning to retire in two years. This transition period allows for thoughtful preparation and a seamless handover. Dorothy and Andrew have already been working together since November 2023, when Andrew joined the business as an Associate Director.
“We are delighted to welcome Andrew to our leadership team,” said Dorothy Brown, current Managing Director at Even Keel Solutions. “His proven expertise in helping businesses through financial difficulties and his compassionate approach to insolvency practice will be invaluable as we continue to support businesses facing financial challenges in today’s complex economic environment.”
Andrew is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner who brings extensive experience in helping directors whose businesses face financial difficulty. His approach focuses on finding the best possible outcomes for businesses in distress while providing supportive guidance to make the process as manageable as possible for directors.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Rumsey said: “I like to help people. My job as an insolvency practitioner allows me to do this in two ways: saving businesses and saving directors/shareholders money. At Even Keel Solutions, we relish the opportunity to use our wide range of skills, resources and experience to assess and review businesses with financial problems and find effective solutions. We often need to react quickly and decisively but do so with thoughtfulness and compassion.”
One client commented: “Andrew and his team guided us through the process calmly, professionally and in a confident manner, I would highly recommend their services.”
A referring accountant added: “When clients come to us with concerns over the future of their company they are understandably nervous about the insolvency process and the idea of ‘being in trouble’. It is always then to their great relief, that when we introduce them to Andrew, they meet someone who takes a sympathetic and professional approach to the situation that they have found themselves in and who provides clear and concise advice on the best route forwards. We have worked with Andrew now for a number of years and trust him implicitly to look after our clients.”
Outside of his professional life, Andrew is a keen runner who particularly enjoys marathons and songwriting and has completed a local half-Ironman challenge. He also holds a Certificate in Counselling Skills, which complements his empathetic approach to supporting clients through difficult business situations.
