After yesterday’s proposed end to ‘Plan B’ Covid restrictions in England, the Parliament announcement has been broadly met with positivity from Dorset business.
Prime Minister Johnson and his Cabinet examined the latest Covid-19 data on Wednesday morning, before he made the announcement in the Commons.
Responding to the news, Dorset Chamber chief executive Ian Girling said: “This is excellent news. It is a very welcome and positive announcement which will be a shot in the arm for many businesses in Dorset and the local economy.
“We need to get back to work and back to business. Temporary working arrangements have been manageable, but we need to get our people back into their workplaces.
“Although we must remain vigilant, we can’t dodge this forever and must take what we have learned from the past two years and move forward. Personally, I am very pleased and want to see Dorset businesses back firing on all cylinders as soon as possible.”
