More than 50 members attended our summer lunch at the fantastic Summer Lodge Country House Hotel & Spa at Evershot – enjoying perfect weather, along with a great lunch while experiencing the beauty of this lovely quintessential English country house set in four acres of beautifully tended gardens.
President of the Dorchester Chamber for Business, Steve Farnham was delighted with how the event went, he said:
“It was a wonderful event today at Summer Lodge. It’s always great to meet new friends, including those from Sherborne Chamber and from Yeovil and Dorchester. There was great networking going on today, it was wonderful to hear people talking through things and hopefully some good business to come out of it for our members.”
The event, sponsored by Albert Goodman, began with drinks on the terrace, followed by a delicious two-course lunch including hand-made petits fours and coffee.
Jon Edge, from Albert Goodman accountants who sponsored the event for the second year said: “It’s a pleasure to be involved at the event and also in the local community and try to help out local businesses.”
Manager of the Summer Lodge, Jack Mackenzie said:
“It’s been fantastic hosting the Dorchester Chamber for Business today, we’ve had a very beautiful day, the sun has been shining and a wonderful group of people came to lunch who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Meeting old and new friends and enjoying some social time together, finding some common ground and exploring new ideas that they can help each other with. Summer Lodge is a naturally beautiful country house and we are very proud of it and we are very proud to host such a wonderful group of people as we have done today.”
