Milton Abbey is a co-educational day and boarding school for ages 13-18, located between Blandford and Dorchester. Milton Abbey prides itself on its unique ability to deliver a bespoke education, making the most of each pupil’s individual skills and creative talents to enable them to achieve the best possible results inside and outside the classroom. Our small size allows for greater involvement in School life and the opportunity for pupils to master a chosen subject or activity.
Our School attracts pupils from a diverse range of geographical locations. Some live locally and travel daily on our fleet of minibuses as day pupils, whilst others board and come from all over the UK as well as overseas.
For Sixth Form pupils we offer the opportunity to study A Levels, BTECs, or a combination of both. A Levels suit those pupils with a desire to pursue particular subjects at a higher level, whilst BTECs are more suited to pupils with an interest in more practical, work-related subjects ranging from Countryside Management and Hospitality, to Creative Media Production and Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.
The School is located in a stunning countryside location, surrounded by grounds landscaped by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. The School hosts an array of termly events including concerts and recitals, drama productions and lectures, fundraising events and the annual Friends of Milton Abbey School Summer Fete, which members of the public are most welcome to attend.
