Edd Moore, from Damers First School, has written an article for Primary First, detailing the eco work at the school and the positive impact the Eco Schools Programme has had.
Within the article Edd details how every class at the school makes a termly pledge to help animals, people or the environment. To date pledges have included encouraging the community to feed the birds, making Dorchester litter free and encouraging businesses to reduce their single use plastic.
The Eco Schools programme has had a huge impact on the children, giving them confidence and showing that what they are doing will make a real difference to the society they live in.
