An independent global guide recognising quality of client service has recommended nine solicitors in seven practice areas at a Dorset law firm.
Battens Solicitors secured the ratings in this year’s newly published Legal 500, often described as the legal profession’s ‘bible’.
The recommendations included family team associate solicitor Hollie Knapman and senior associate solicitor and head of the family team Louise Gidley in the family law practice area.
Directors Ray Edwards and Rupert Vaughan were recommended in the commercial property practice area.
Simon Clegg, a consultant in the company commercial department, was recommended for his expertise in intellectual property in technology, media and telecoms.
Recommendations also went to James Owen, consultant and head of agriculture; Battens chairman David Stephens in real estate: planning; and property dispute resolution team leader Ceri Stephens in property litigation.
Senior associate solicitor Kate Golding was also recommended in the insurance: personal injury practice area.

The Legal 500, which is published annually in more than 90 countries, is acted on by commercial and private clients, corporate counsel, professional advisers and other referrers of legal work.
