AL MOLO DORCHESTER ARE FINALISTS IN THE DORSET TOURISM AWARDS 2024/2025
Al Molo Dorchester are Finalists in the Restaurant of the Year category at the Dorset Tourism Awards.
In 2021 Al Molo, Weymouth won Gold at the South West Tourism Awards and in 2024 they were awarded their first AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence at Al Molo Dorchester, plus two awards in the local Dorchester & Poundbury Business Awards. The first award for the Family Business of the year and secondly for the Dining Award. In May, Al Molo also won the Silver Award for the best Family Business Award in the West Dorset Gold Business Awards. The Dorset Tourism Award Ceremony will take place at the Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth, on 6th February 2025.
Tim Newton, Co-owner of Al Molo said: “We really are enormously proud and pleased to be a Finalist in the Dorset Tourism Awards, which really is the icing on the cake after a visit from the AA inspector and then awarded an AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence. Giuseppe and I would really like to thank our team as we could not achieve what we do without them. Our family move to Dorchester is certainly proving to be an excellent choice as we love living in the town. It is quite different from Weymouth’s seafront, but we love meeting new customers and greeting our regulars who travel from Weymouth to see us – we really have the best of both towns.”
Al Molo relocated to High West Street Dorchester in July 2022 to new premises at 6 High West Street, Dorchester. Many loyal customers followed them from Weymouth to Dorchester and soon many new customers discovered the authentic, delicious Italian food and wine that was now available. The Judge Jeffreys 17th century building was lovingly and completely renovated by Tim and Giuseppe before the restaurant opened. The business now employs around twelve people, has eighty restaurant covers and offers lunch and dinner service 7 days a week.
