This week many Chamber members – old and new – turned out to celebrate summer with a superb lunch hosted by the award-winning Summer Lodge Country House Hotel & Spa at Evershot.
With perfect summer weather, members and their guests were able to fully experience the beauty of this lovely quintessential English country house set in four acres of beautifully tended gardens. Following a welcome glass of sparkling elderflower cordial on the terrace, the sumptuous two-course lunch was served in the hotel’s 3-rosette fine dining restaurant.
The event, sponsored by Albert Goodman, began with drinks on the terrace, followed by a delicious two-course lunch including hand-made petits fours and coffee.
Steve Farnham, President of the Dorchester Chamber for Business, said he was delighted to welcome members to our third summer lunch at the characteristic hotel. “This was a splendid event, one that we all look forward to. I’m thrilled to see such a great turn out of members and their guests – I would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Once again we have been treated to some truly wonderful food at Summer Lodge, so a big thank you to the chefs and serving staff for making this lunch such a memorable experience.”
Summer Lodge’s General Manager, Jack Mackenzie, said he hoped everyone had enjoyed the lunch and invited members to take some time out to enjoy the hotel’s beautiful gardens before returning to their businesses.
